These are short term populist measures of reining in the prices to make sure that this doesn’t become a bone of contention for the opposition parties’ campaign during elections. Anyway the government is doing something, we can only hope that these prices last.

Thanks for dicussing your view Jayprashanth. Government may have done this so that it benefits them further in election, but for the time being, it went in the favor of people..and yea hopefully these prices remain stable. For me its important, as im a big fan of rice..he he..[:)]
