The Thomson Corporation, a preeminent provider of information solutions to business and professional customers globally has announced that its shareholders have overwhelmingly approved the proposed acquisition of Reuters Group PLC at a special meeting held on March 26, 08 in Toronto. 99% votes went in favor of the deal and cleared the way for winding up the deal on April 17, 08.

Reuters said that its shareholders approved the transaction by 92.6% at a meeting in London. This too is the biggest that happened in the history of the Canadian-based specialized data company. If the deal approves, then the new formation will be known as Thomson Reuters Corporation and their share of the world market for financial data will be one third, in competition against Bloomberg LP.

After the deal the main situation that comes out shows Thomson’s shares fell 2.5 percent to 34.66 dollars in New York while Reuters’ US-traded shares fell 0.3 percent to 72.19. It is also coming in the ears that David Thomson, the CEO of Thomson and grandson of founder Roy Thomson will be chairman of the combined firm i.e. Thomson Reuters Corporation and Reuters CEO Tom Glocer will be chief executive of the combined Thomson Reuters.

Sources say that Richard Harrington, the president and CEO of Thomson, plans to retire after the deal and is positively looking towards it and said that the deal has given them a global footprint which they never had in their own company. This is also being said that the combination of the two is going to be tremendously good for the shareholders.

Insomnia is a chronic sleeplessness, a sleeping disorder. Insomniacs are those who are unable to close their eyes or rest their mind for more than a few minutes at a time. Insomnia is a disease which is more common in the elder masses of our society.

There are few cases of insomnia which separately defines how long each kind of insomnia stays. First is ‘transient insomnia’ which last for few days or weeks by some changes in the routine, another one is ‘acute insomnia’ which yearns for a period of between three weeks to six months, ‘chronic insomnia’ hankers from months to years. The study of geriatrics and the statistics prepared by them depicts that insomnia prolongs to depression in the elderly.

The statistics from the Project IMPACT, that is a study conducted at 18 primary care clinics where they compared the expert care with the usual care and 1,801 patients participated in it, who were 60 or older in age. Proper care was taken as compared to the earlier care that had been provided to patients, by letting them do what they want to, and listening them and carrying everything in a way they desire to. Special care was taken to keep them happy and relaxed and the results showed that 293 people did not have insomnia, while 207 had persistent and 1,301 had intermediate insomnia.

Insomnia can be cured if proper medication is provided to them; and mostly person rely on sleeping pills, but is that is the only way? No, using natural herbs is a more protective way; recent research says cognitive behavior therapy can be more effective, traditional ways, like drinking milk before sleep and taking a warm bath, exercising regularly helps to recover soon and saves you from depression as well, by cutting its roots called ‘insomnia’.

Like, it is being said that the thinking of the people towards leaving their children to the day care providers is psychotropic except for the young working people; today people are wearing modern dresses, designer wear and tuning in to satellite TV for the first time which was not legalized until 1999. They are fighting to maintain the balance between becoming modern and being Bhutanese as well.

They banned MTV and WWE, as they believe that by watching WWE encourages children to be violent and MTV is spoiling their thinking, as Bhutan government thought what one see will do that only and this is not the Buddhists nature. Bhutan likes modernization but not at the cost of loosing its originality and that’s why it was the first country to ban tobacco.

The young teenagers can be seen strumming a guitar and having a meal that add taste from the west, their cafe offers yak burgers and pizza with yak meat. So, in all we can say that in Bhutan, the people are adding a western flavor in their life without loosing their originality.

These days there are many attractive indoor games and what a parent has to do is to divert their child to the outdoor games. Now, you need to make them realize that how exciting and interesting outdoor games are. Being a parent, it is your responsibility to find a good company for your kids and spend some time playing outdoor games with them. Motivate them more towards the fresh air that is outside your home. When your child comes from home don’t from home ask them to go and play and complete the homework after coming back. Being a parent, you too need to follow some healthy habits and that will surely affect your child’s positively. As it is said that we do what we see. So, be teachers of your child and teach them healthy living in an informal way and you would love to see the positive results of this.
